I grew up in the southwest deserts of California, Nevada and Arizona as the youngest of four children in the 1960s. My father was an Air Force test pilot and my mother was an artist. We moved to Florida where I finished high school, married my high school sweetheart and together raised twin daughters. I am active in the church and community, particularly with service organizations dedicated to young children through high school. I enjoy running, tennis, golf and aerial photography. I am excited to meet new people who share some of my passions. I have a masters in software engineering and by day, work for a leading global security company. I also enjoy travel for work and leisure which includes visiting my now adult daughters living in Manhattan.

Hello. My name is Sommer Thompson. I relocated to the Panhandle area from a quaint town in Virginia. I am a wife and mother who have only been in this area for a year. I  am the newest Fyzician (physician) Liaison for Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers.  Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers is a nationwide physical therapy company that specializes in vestibular and balance. We also have trained therapists who  specialize in LSVT BIG (movement deficiencies in those that suffer from Parkinson's disease), Pelvic health, post operative therapy, dry needling, sports rehab, and the list goes on. Chris joined the District in February 2024.  He has over 24 years of experience in the natural gas industry working for publicly traded utility companies and contractors in the areas of engineering, measurement, operations, construction, contractor management, program management, compliance, and varying levels of leadership.  He began his career with Atmos Energy Corporation, and has also worked with Magnolia River Services, and System Services Pipeline.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University.  He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayland Baptist University and is currently completing his dissertation work for a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Management from Wayland Baptist University.  He is married with two daughters and two dogs that drive him crazy.  He enjoys volunteering in the community and helping others.
