"We Fixed The Pit!" NYP Ribbon Cutting at Camp Timpoochee

Join the Niceville Valparaiso Chamber for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of the NYP Fix the Pit project at Camp Timpoochee!  The NYP Group has been working hard to raising money to have a professional fire pit installed at Camp Timpoochee and add some additional outdoor season and other improvements around the camp. 

Established in 1926 and boasting 14 acres on the Choctawhatchee Bay, Camp Timpoochee is the 2nd oldest 4-H camp in the country and was the first in Florida.  The fire pit is a focal point of camp as each group of campers starts and ends their camp adventure at the pit. When needed, some lucky campers are also able to participate in a flag retirement ceremony at the fire pit.   

The Niceville Young Professionals (NYP) group is a program of the Niceville Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization. The NYP group is committed to engaging and connecting emerging leaders, while emphasizing the importance of civic leadership and community involvement to make meaningful and lasting contributions to our area.
